Governor Newsom declared April as Autism Acceptance Month, celebrating the experiences, perspectives, and contributions of autistic Californians. His proclamation also highlights the State’s Master Plan for Developmental Services and its recommendations for the future shaped by community voices.
This month, we’re highlighting a diverse range of stories from our community. You’ll meet people with autism living vibrant lives —working, creating, learning, and leading. You’ll also read about service providers and others working to build a more fair and responsive system to better support the growing number of autistic people.
